Sara Pane is an Australian artist/printmaker based in southern Tasmania. She completed an Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts (ceramics) at South Bank TAFE, Brisbane in 1995. In 2015, she completed a BFA Honours at the Tasmanian College of the Arts in Printmaking.
The main purpose of Sara's printmaking practice is to push the medium beyond conventional conceptual and technical limits. She takes delight in experimenting with both high-tech and low-tech printmaking approaches. Sara has an interest in a broad range of printmaking techniques, ranging from screen-printing to lithography. The particular techniques she uses are chosen in response to the conceptual basis of each project. This gives her work an innovative, contemporary edge.
